Peter Jowett Scholarship Competition - Online November

The PJ Scholarship scheduled to run prior to the awards night will now be moved to an online format. We are working through the logistics of hosting and voting. A separate email will be sent providing a registration link.

NZACS Annual Awards Night - Cancellation

The annual awards night which had been rescheduled to November 29th has had to be cancelled due to ongoing uncertainty around Auckland alert levels. It is the committee's intention to advise winners and publish the awards through FMCG business before year-end.

C&I Expo - Postponement

The C&I Expo and Leaders’ summit at the Cloud re-scheduled to April next year will now be held in September 2022 once again. Election of Committee Members 2022

The NZACS committee comprises of up to six retail representatives and six supplier representatives.

The NZACS constitution allows for two year rolling terms for the committee members. We will shortly be opening nominations for the 6 supplier committee positions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Smokefree Aotearoa Action Plan indicative timeline

The Ministry of Health sent out its first Smokefree Aotearoa 2025 newsletter. Key timelines are expected as follows (but are indicative only):

  • September 2021 – A full summary of submissions available
  • November 2021 – Action Plan published
  • December 2021-March 2022 – Government’s action plan progress through the legislative process (select committee and public consultation phase)
  • June 2022 – Select Committee Report
  • August 2022 – Possible implementation
