Advocating for the Industry

NZACS advocates for the industry, lobbying the Government on issues that affect its members to trade fairly and responsibly.

There are many and varied issues affecting the industry, but some of the most recent include:

The smokefree issue has been affecting our industry for decades, most recently with the SmokeFree Aotearoa 2025 Action Plan. NZACS has been calling for more consultation so that Government can hear from those whose livelihoods will be severely impacted by this plan.
