The New Zealand Association of Convenience Stores (NZACS) is dedicated to working with members, trade partners and consumers to develop business practices, products and services that reflect the values of long term environmental sustainability. We are committed to developing relationships with all members to ensure that the convenience channel of trade moves forward and addresses environmental sustainability collectively and responsibly. NZACS is focussed on developing sustainable initiatives with members and partner organisations that proactively address the sustainability issues affecting the environment and the convenience industry.
NZACS will be developing sustainability as a key strategic pillar for the association and a key members benefit and NZACS intends to be an extensive information hub for members to consult and refer to when developing sustainability strategies within their own organisations.
We encourage interdependency among NZACS members and participation in discussion and idea sharing with each other and NZACS as we develop policies and implement initiatives industry wide. The success of a sustainability strategy not only requires an acknowledgement of existing areas that require attention but also foresight to identify industry practices and processes that may later be discovered to adversely affect our environment, our community and in turn our industry.
