Introducing our MC and entertainer for the evening:
Ben Hurley


Ben has conquered the toughest of crowds and reviewers alike and is adept at tailoring his material and persona to what the event requires. He consistently sells out shows at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, including in Wellington at the mighty San Fran during a global pandemic.

Ben is widely recognised from his regular appearances on THREE's 7DaysThe Project, and is now a regular contributor on TVNZ's Seven Sharp. He has had numerous other TV appearances with several Comedy GalasAotearoHa, hosting After HoursFunny Roots, @Seven and hosting the 2010 New Zealand Music Awards.

The event will only be held providing Auckland is at Alert Level 1.

Meet our Peter Jowett Finalists

The PJ topic for 2021 is…

“In light of COVID 19 and the changes in shopper behaviour and dynamics, what opportunities has this pandemic presented for Convenience retailers to change the way they retail and look for areas to deliver sales growth and foot traffic for their businesses”.

It is my pleasure to introduce our four finalists who will compete for our two scholarships this year.
