Changes as a result of Covid-19

There have been numerous changes to the global and local Convenience association’s events calendars as a result of Covid-19.

In summary, the management committee is recommending the following changes at this time.

  • Industry report – delay until lockdowns are relaxed and review the impact for the industry – most likely via an online presentation.
  • Peter Jowett awards – topic remains the same however registration of interest only is required at this stage via email to by May 31st. Timing and format of presentation plus prize still to be finalised.
  • Awards night – we would very much like to run this but it may be a little later in the year.


Thanks to those companies that have already registered for membership this year. The association has been busier than ever on members behalf presenting vaping submissions to the select committee and coordination with the government FMCG working committee twice weekly to represent the interests if manufacturers and retailers.
